Dr. Harding IV is a renowned psychiatrist who is retired from practice. During his 30+ active years on the job, he worked with men and women on their psychological well-being, with an ability to identify and treat all of the different types of psychological illness.
Graduating from La Sierra University in 1949, Dr. Harding IV received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1953. He then went on to perform his internship at Ohio State University Hospital, and his residencies in psychiatry at Harding Hospital and Menninger Clinic.
Seeking to improve each patient’s quality of life, the doctor subsequently attained board certification in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
From 1973 until 1994, Dr. Harding IV served as the medical director of Harding Hospital. In the year 2000, he accepted the role of Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, retiring from the University in 2007. To every position, he has brought his insight and expertise via the integration of spiritual, physical, and mental health.

Harding II, the first Adventist psychiatrist, who is also known for starting the Harding Hospital in Columbus in 1916, which merged with Ohio State University Medical Center in 1999.
